Information / Presentation

Verdun-sur-le-Doubs is a small town nestled in the confluence of the Saône and the Doubs and is equidistant between Beaune and Chalon-sur-Saône (22kms). Its geographical situation, along with its good axes of communication, is a part of the attraction of this small town.

Verdun is first and foremost the capital of “Pôchouse”. Fishing is one of Verdun’s major attractions. One cannot speak of Verdun without mentioning: the marina, the ramparts and towers (Echauguette, Echevins, Marguerite de Busseul), the XVII century church of Saint Jean, the many walks along the river and rides along the “Voie Bleue”, the Museum of “Ble et Pain” (wheat and bread), the Ile de chateau (a little paradise covered with scattered pathways) and the shady camping site with 100 pitches.

Verdun is a nice place to be thanks to the diversity of its services, leisure activities and geographical situation.
